A painter and an illustrator, Jean-Philippe Delhomme has contributed to numerous magazines around the world DeparturesW magazineInterviewI.D. magazine,The New YorkerTown & Country, Vogue Paris, Vogue Japan, Casa BrutusCase da AbitareSternDie SpiegelLibération. His work has gained recognition with  collaborations and award-winning ad campaigns for Barneys New York, SAAB USA, The Mark Hotel NYC, Le Bon Marché. He has also directed animated commercials, most notably for Saab USA, and Visa France.

As a fashion illustrator, and a chronicler of culture, he has written and illustrated several books: The Cultivated Life published by Rizzoli International; Design Addicts published by Thames & Hudson; and Le Drame de la DécoArt Contemporain and Scènes de la Vie Parentale published by Editions Denoël. He has also penned 4 novels as well as articles for French GQ, Architectural Digest France and Vogue Paris.

He contributes regularly to GQ France and illustrated Glenn O'Brien famous column The Style Guy in GQ USA. 
He has been writing and illustrating his own columns for several International magazines: «Design Addicts» for Architecture Digest France , Grazia Casa l’intervista Impossibile” and « Social Studies » for The Los Angeles Times magazine.

Most recently, his Paris Diary, Pariser Tagebuch, was published in Zeit Magazin as a weekly column during the year 2015. 
He currently writes a column for "O", a monthly Style and Culture supplement to news magazine L'Obs

In 2012, his popular blog“The Unknown Hipster” was transformed into book form as The Unknown Hipster Diaries published by August Editions.

He was commissioned by Louis Vuitton for a New York Travel Book, including more than a hundred gouache paintings of New York, which was published in 2013.

He recently painted a mural in the legendary Paris private club Chez Castel.

His work has been internationally exhibited with shows at Colette in Paris; the FIAF Gallery, Partners & Spade and Danziger Projects in New York; the French Institute in Berlin and in Munich; the Festival International de la Mode et de la Photographie in Hyères, France; the Fashion Illustration Gallery in London; and the Shiseido and Rocket Gallery in Tokyo.

A solo exhibition « From use cars to Late Modern » was held at Wright Gallery in NYC in 2014. 

In 2015, a show of his drawings "Chroniques contemporaines" was held at Galerie Martine Gossieaux in Paris, while
Bushwick Landscape a solo show of his paintings
was held at Lucien Terras. in New York.
